Book a kayak trip for experienced paddlers. Discover Lake Vänern and the Tösse archipelago by kayak! The archipelago consists of around 30 small and large islands and is therefore the largest Lake Vänern archipelago in Dalsland. The nature is varied with bare skerries and forested islands.
The tour runs every other Saturday during the summer, with a few exceptions. Bookable dates: 31/5, 14/6, 12/7, 26/7, 3/8, 23/8, 6/9 and 20/9.
Discovery tour for experienced paddlers, 4 hours (level equivalent to Green Paddle Pass/Green Euro Paddle Pass):
The paddle tour starts from the idyllic Rolfskärr holiday village directly on the shore of Lake Vänern, a little south of Tösse harbour. Together we carry the kayaks a few metres down to the beach and familiarise ourselves with the kayak, paddle and other equipment. Then we paddle at a leisurely pace through the archipelago. The route is determined by wind and weather, but there is always much to discover and a magical landscape that offers beautiful views. We make a beach break and enjoy a simple but tasty homemade fika. If you want to take a swim, just jump in the water.
The guide is well-educated and experienced in paddling and rescue techniques as well as first aid and always carries safety equipment and first aid etc. Katrin offers a safe and exciting paddling experience that will give you memories for life! Read more about Katrin at fraiwa.se
The tour itself takes approximately 3.5 hours including time for fika.
The tour is aimed at adults (> 15 years) and all kayaks are single-person kayaks. You should have paddling experience and skills, preferably equivalent to a green paddle pass (Euro Paddle Pass). All participants must be able to swim and be able to swim 200m. Group size max. 6 participants.
The tour includes a guide, kayak and all other paddle equipment, homemade buns and drinks (coffee/tea/juice).
NOTE: The tour is always adjusted to the prevailing weather and wind direction. In case of strong winds or thunderstorms, the tour may need to be cancelled or replaced with a tour in Forsnäsån with 5 hours notice. If the tour is cancelled by the organizer, the full amount will be refunded.
